Today I'm joining the Five Minute Friday community over at Lisa-Jo Baker's.
Encouragement is a gift I’ve received so many times. I had a dream to have a site where friends come to commune. And I was blessed to have a partner I this. We received encouragement from one another.
But God used lots more friends for encouragement too. There were times when we wanted to give up. It’s hard working on dreams. But God showed up in miraculous ways using the hands and feet of encouragers who offered their gift of encouragement by way of a comment, an email, a word, even a check that came in the mail.
We all need encouragement to keep going when time are are challenging.
I’ve had that kind of encouragement in the worst of times—letters, cards, prayers came when I desperately needed to know someone, somewhere knew my pain. But now this, this dream time. It’s not a desperate time, but it is a time where encouragement is needed to keep on keeping on. And it comes from a post in due season, an encouragement that we touched someone’s heart, made a difference…and again that check in the mail when we really needed it.
God uses the hands and feet of his people to be an encouragement. He makes encouragers and brings them to us. To bless, and spur us on. So many of you, my friends, have been an encouragement to me. And you, my family, has been an encouragement. And you the stranger who will never know they’ve encouraged my heart.
Thank you. I am so very grateful…and encouraged. I have received so much from you. And you have inspired me to be an encouragement too. Tell me how… how can I encourage you?
It is a small thing, but it is never a small thing. Thank you, bless you…I pray I would be an encouragement to you as you have been to me.
How can I encourage you today?
