31 Days of Simple, Beautiful Things - Dreams Come True

Sometimes a Dream Come True is a Simple, Beautiful Thing!

" For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth."

Today a major dream came true.
About a year ago, my daughter came across my journal from when I was 22 years old. She peeked through its contents. That was the bad news.

But the good news was that she brought me back to my youth. And as I leafed through the pages of this very eager young 22 year old, I reconnected with the young girl…not quite woman I once was.

In those pages, I was reminded of how hopelessly in love I was with the man who is now my husband of 28 years. The young woman who was learning to trust God, going to bible studies, and hoping God would answer my prayers that Chris would love me as I loved him.  And the young woman who had discovered what she really wanted to do…as I put it in that journal I wanted to write about LIFE, LIFE, LIFE. Just the ordinary things in ordinary life that we can miss if we’re not paying attention.

I was amazed as I read that journal. Having lived so much life in the over 30 years since I had written in that book, I had forgotten that the passion I have for people’s stories started so very long ago. Today, as we celebrate the launch of Circles of Faith, I see that passion is something God planted in my heart, as the Word says, even before I was in my mother’s womb.

Pretty cool! God is amazing…and He does have a divine plan for every one of us. And I believe with all my heart that part of my job here on earth is to help people tell the amazing stories of God’s presence, influence, power in our lives.

So tonight, really, I celebrate you. Friends and family who inspire, encourage, support, and influence one another through sharing stories.

That’s what Circles of Faith is all about. It’s an online living room where we hope people will pull up a virtual chair, listen to one another, and chat.

Our stories, your story has the power to inform, reform, and transform lives.

Do you believe that?

It’s true. Our stories are a reflection of His glory. He is the author.

I hope you’ll share your story through Circles of Faith. Because your story is as unique as you are, your voice is like none other…Your Story Matters to me, to others, to God!
